No doubt, your utility bill is now expensive. Energy bills have gone haywire in 2025. This Maryland Office of People's Counsel fact sheet explains why.

In order to lower your BGE bill now, you will need to take action. This real-world guide will help you. 

Steps 1 through 4 are quick and painless. You will save at least 10% off your electricity bill. Plus you’ll be a smarter utility customer. While Steps 5 through 6 take more effort, the payout is bigger.
